Tim plays sax, keyboard, flute, and vocals. Tim has a bachelors in Jazz Sax Performance from Oberlin Conservatory. He was in the Squirrel Nut Zippers, Hobex, Jazz Squad, Soulsearchers, Sol and Funk Root, Countdown Quartet, Mr Coffee and the Creamers, The Beast, and the Raleigh Jazz Orchestra. Tim has toured nationally and internationally. He has made TV appearances on Conan O’Brian, Regis and Kathy Lee, Sesame Street, and on NC Public TV. For more info go to Tim on Facebook
Lola has been singing professionally for over 20 years. Prior to that she played piano professionally and taught music in several elementary schools. Her music teaching spanned 30 years. She wrote most of the songs her students performed at shows and competitions. Her kids were selected for “Pieces of Gold” (a big show at Memorial Auditorium in Raleigh) 12 years in a row. Lola currently teaches piano and sings with Capital Transit, Thelonious and with her husband Dave, as part of “The Dave and Lola Youngman Trio”. Laura Ridgeway has been a professional vocalist for over 20 years. She performs regularly at private parties, galas, outdoor concerts, finer restaurants and festivals throughout the Triangle and North Carolina. In addition to her love of golden oldies, she has written original music, directed youth musical productions, and released 3 CDs available in stores and on line. Dave Youngman plays piano, sax, guitar, and clarinet with Capital Transit. Dave grew up in New York City and attended the prestigious “School of Music and Art” in Manhattan. He then attended University of Buffalo. Dave was in the army for three years, and played clarinet and sax in the Army band. In the 70’s and 80’s Dave played in several rock bands and jazz/fusion bands. In the 90’s he toured with bands, and ended up moving to Raleigh where he lives with his wife Lola Youngman. Dave has written and recorded many original songs and has released several CD’s for purchase on the website daveandlolayoungman.com
